city, oakland, all light rain. but the heaviest is in the overnight hours. >>> the wet weather is already causing some concerns for residents in san rafael. reggie kumar is live in the downtown area. >> reporter: the rain is already coming down here at a pretty steady pace. phone service was knocked out to some residents from the previous storm. but that service has since been restored. crews are still digging out from the previous storm. they're hoping this latest one doesn't pack a punch. at&t crews were hard at work drying out the phone lines near 3rd street in san rafael. tuesday night's wet weather wasn't helping while workers used this hose to blow air underground to dry the lines. some who live here are still dealing with a muddy miscellaneous left behind by sunday's powerful storm. >> i got slammed, and my basement and storage shed got a couple of inches of mud. digging out, drying out. >> reporter: some residents in west marin tell me these large trees are a reminder of what happened here on sunday. the trees fell across the roadblocking access for several hours. this

in the city. half of the 2,300 robberies committed so far this year involve mobile and tablet devices. reggie kumar says police want people to be aware. >> reporter: a crime of opportunity on this muni bus caught on camera. the victim has her head down and has no idea she's being watched while using her cellphone. when the bus stops, the alleged robber quickly grabs the phone, walks out the door, leaving the victim wondering what just happened. the same crime captured by a camera on another bus. this robber is in the black jacket stand big the backdoor, watching this woman talk on her phone. as soon as the bus stops, the doors open, and the suspect walks up, grabs the phone from the victim's ear, and runs out the door. and a camera inside a taxicab recorded this theft. the alleged robber sees the unsuspecting victim walking down a stran street talking -- san francisco streak talking on her phone. the suspect walks up and violently grabs the phone from the victim's ear. he gets away with her phone. san francisco police officer carlos. >> we don't want you to chase she's suspects don't. >> repo

-50s. cooler for union city, 49 degrees. tonight clear skies every place but there could be a few patches of dense fog at the ground and to the north bay valleys. best chance is closer to sun rise. we could have limited visibility. rest of the day, lots of sunshine. another mild day. most places get into the 60. look for increasing clouds tuesday from a weather system in the pacific. right now clear skies. and the storm track is into alaska. there sadevelopping storm there -- is a developing storm there. it will bring us rain and cooler temperatures wednesday. noon tomorrow, we are clear. clouds off shore and remains that way for monday night and into tuesday morning but by tuesday afternoon mere we go -- here we go, late morning tuesday. noon tuesday. tuesday afternoon and evening. clouds increase and there is the rain tuesday night. it makes it into the north bay, midnight tuesday night going into wednesday morning. quarter to a half inch. temperatures in the morning, 30s north bay. east bay, 40s. highs tomorrow, beautiful monday. highs in the 60s everywhere. tuesday cooler. wit

there today. temperatures in the 60s and 70s. we hit 71 in oakland. same in hayward. 70 in redwood city. upper 60s in napa. it was 65 degrees in san francisco. but changes are coming. as we head into tomorrow. it's going to be clear to start the day. but we'll see increasing cloud cover in the afternoon as rain approaches for tomorrow night and wednesday morning and that system will bring a blast of cold air with it. temperatures in the low 50s wednesday afternoon. over night into thursday morning temperatures dropping into the 30s nearly bay area wide. and looking outside on satellite radar, clear skies around the bay area. but the storm track is getting closer to the bay area. the cloud band up to the north. this is going to sag down to the south and bring us rain late tomorrow evening. the rain moving in at 10:00 in the north day. and down in the south baby the 2:00 hour. and then lingering showers into wednesday morning. so largely this will come in and make its way out through the over night hours. we'll see residual showers. napa, vallejo, concord, 43 in san jose. afternoon high temperat
